When can I start building?

You may start building as soon as the plat has recorded and you have a permit from Wasatch County. Plats are scheduled to record Summer 2020.

How is The highlands configured in phases?

There are three phases. Phases will continue uphill from the current phase.

Amenities

Highlands will have 2+ miles of paved trails, multiple parks, and an amphitheater.

What are the HOA fees?

HOA fees are planned to be around $150/month

What are rental policies?

Rentals will be allowed. Short term nightly rentals require a three night minimum.

Who will maintenance roads?

The roads will be maintained by Wasatch County.

What are the architectural guidelines?

Highlands will allow craftsman and farmhouse styles. For more detailed information download the community documents at the bottom of this page.

How close to Park City and Heber?

16 minutes to Park City

11 minutes to Deer Valley’s Jordanelle Gondola

30 minutes to Utah Valley (Orem)

Where is the development?

Highlands is in the Heber Valley foothills east of Highway 40 near Utah Valley University Wasatch Campus. 1.5 miles from downtown Heber City

Do I have to build in a certain amount of time?

No. There is no specific timeframe in which you have to start construction.

Who is developer?

The Thackeray Company is a local Utah firm that has created numerous residential and commercial developments since 1981.

What are lot sizes and price range

There are generally two single family homesite lot sizes. 50ft by 100(+)ft and 62ft by 100(+)ft.

Can I build a 2 or 3 car garage?
Yes. A 50 ft lot will accommodate a 2 car garage, a 62 ft lot will accommodate a 3 car garage
What is the pet policy?

Pets are allowed. Yard fencing must meet the community guidelines.

What is the view?

Most lots will have straight on views of Mt. Timpanogos and Heber’s North Fields.

Are you building homes?

No. We are building the roads, parks, sidewalks, and bringing utilities to each lot. 

Can I use my own builder?

Yes.
